I’m delighted that my LifeAlchemyBlog.com has been chosen as one of Feedspot’s 75 best Alchemy Blogs. When I received the notification, and checked out the other blogs, I was frankly amazed at the number and diversity of people who are on the alchemist page of life. Brilliant! Fantastic!
Alchemy is the process of transforming lead into gold, and this is the key to really experiencing the beauty of life. When tragedy, illness or hurt knock us back, we have a choice. We can either allow this experience to destroy us and make us the victim, or we can take that experience and find the hidden jewels. We can’t change what has happened, but we can choose to grow and become better, stronger, more compassionate human beings as a result of what we have been through. It is by doing this that we not only regain the joy in our own lives, but we can become an inspiration to others.
The same is true of all other aspects of life. If we continually buy into the limited, established belief systems of what is possible and what is not, we will never move forward from the status quo, and the old limiting patterns will perpetuate in our lives, our societies and our cultures forever.
Remember every genius, every pioneer and every inventor had to say “I believe I can do what you believe is impossible.” They chose to take that courageous stand of defying convention, in some cases at the risk of life and limb, and broke those boundaries of understanding and capability.
Which of us hasn’t heard of Einstein’s E=mc2 ? But go back a few years, and Newtonian physics was considered the last word in our understanding of the universe. Then Einstein overturned the whole thing with his theory of general relativity. Later on, Einstein himself didn’t accept the concept of quantum physics to start with, but was finally won over when the scientific evidence proved it without a doubt. Our scientific understanding went from – “Everything is separate” (Newton) to “Everything is energy” (Einstein) to “Everything is one field of quantum probability” (Planck, Bohr, Schrodinger and others). That’s some leap in understanding……and do you know when the quantum theory began? Around 1900! Consider the phenomenal expansion in thinking required of those scientists to go down that path while living in the that era! It never ceases to astonish me.
Life isn’t about accepting what our ancestors, parents or society believe, whether that be in the field of healing, science, roles in society or indeed anything. Truly experiencing life means stretching the boundaries, thinking outside the box and making quantum leaps of thought and imagination. Thoughts become things. Once you stretch your mind, anything becomes possible. If humankind hadn’t done that over and over again, we’d still be living in caves.
As an Alchemist, I look at what has currently been created, and ask – “Is this what I want my reality to be like? If not, then how can I learn, grow, declutter my mind and shift my understanding to create something better? ”
What we focus our attention on, we give energy to. So if we have all our attention on how things have always been, and what we believe isn’t possible, then we create more of the same – simple Law of Attraction. How boring is that to create the same thing over and over again, never moving forward!
So next time there is something in your life that you aren’t happy with, instead of accepting that there’s no alternative, take a different stance. Ask yourself, “What limiting beliefs are creating this issue? How can I shift my understanding and change my perspective on this?”
Instead of seeing your experiences, the status quo of your life and your blocks as prisons, see them instead as the stepping stones that motivate you to something new, something higher vibration, and indeed something that many people would consider impossible.
You have nothing to lose and everything to gain, because you know what, maybe you’ll be the one to achieve the impossible and change the world!
I’d just like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has followed and liked my writing over the years. I really hope you have taken away the odd pearl of wisdom from LifeAlchemyBlog.com over the years which has helped bring some positive energy and transformation into your life.
